Archæopteryx.

The sky is quiet
And I am alone
In the nighttime sky
It seems that all
The others have been
Crawling upon the ground
Everything below is serene
And everything is quiet
No action or confrontation
And my instinct tells me
That I'm safe and sound
Up here in the clouds
No one has known the
Pleasure of being
As high up in the sky as me
No one has seen the
Sights that I've seen
As high in the clouds as me
The animals on the surface
Want to tell me to come down
And to have a rest
But I know that my pleasure
Lies in the skies up here
