Prayer of a dying man.
I thank you, Lord, for all that you've given me
with what little energy I have left
I must speak quickly
I want to thank you for my children
The sweet children that you've helped me
bring into this world
And I want to thank you for my wife
who was always there for me
I want to thank you for the wisdom
that I have gotten over the years
I want to thank you for the work
that kept me well-fed and busy and content
I want to pray to you to keep my wife and children
happy and safe after I'm gone
And I need you to promise
that they've got good things in store
I hope that you can forgive me
for some of the things that I've done
And I hope you can forgive them
for some of the things that they will do
Quickly now
I hope that the world is a better place
now that I've been here
And I hope
I hope that the world will continue
to become a better place
And I hope
And
I
