Purple ribbon.
It's been so long
I don't know if you can hear me
Long ago -- do you remember?
You gave me a purple ribbon
You said it was for me to remember you by
And now I'm always reminded
Day after day
It's as if you never left
Once upon a time, long ago
I gave you a purple teddy bear
I said it was for you to remember me by
I know you couldn't take it with you
But still, I know, somewhere, that it's with you
Just like I am on this dreary day
In the sky, the purple sunset
Makes me think of you
Slowly, the sun disappears behind the wall of sky
The purple fades to blue
And the blue fades to black
The sun's going down on us again
Someday, I'll see your purple face
Again.
